Introduction

The Pegasus digital Pen device, is a Digital Pen, enables to insert hand written text, or diagrams, into a personal computer.

There are few models in the market with different characteristics.

However, all model can be divided to two families, which defined by their support in two operation modes:

  1. Connected Mode - Which enable connecting the Pen device to a Personal computer through a USB Port, and write directly on the screen.
  2. Mobile Mode - Which enables writing far away from a computer. All the pages are stored intrernally, on a memory chip inside the digital pen.  The pages can be downloaded later from the Digital Pen to a Personal Computer, by connecting the Digital Pen through the USB Port.

According to this modes, the two product families are:

  1. Mobile Devices - Which has support for Mobile Mode.
  2. Connected Devices - Which support for Connected Mode.

However, a device can be a connected device, mobile device, or both!

Notice: The different model in the market, can support both modes, or only one of the modes - depend on the Digital Pen Model. Refer to the Digital Pen manual for more information.

The Pegasus.Net SDK enables writing Pen-Supported applications, which use the Digital Pen as input device - be it in Connected Mode, or Mobile Mode.

The Pegasus.Net SDK contains a set of binary files which are required for communication and operation of the dogital pen. The entry point for all communications and operations is implemented in a single .Net component called PegasusPen. The PegasusPen Component has a set of peroperties methods and events to control the pen behavior and respond to different pen events.
